Italian Ceramic Tile Trivet - "Venezia"

Each Trivet is an 8" square ceramic tile and set into a 9" square handcrafted wood frame made following Zero-Waste principles, using only short-cut pieces of quality wood from my shop that would normally be discarded – the wood has not been purchased specifically to make these pieces. Frames are finished with food-safe mineral oil to bring out its natural grain and color.

All trivets are reinforced with a wood panel glued under the tile to help prevent cracking. Each has four, rubber feet screwed onto the base to protect your furniture (screwed on feet will not fall off when cleaning or stick to your table like “stick-on” feet tend to).  Tile is intentionally inset a bit higher than the wood frame to prevent extremely hot items from damaging the wood surface.

My Italian tile trivets have wood species specified for the frame that have been chosen specifically to compliment the tile - trivets will be created oiled and ship in 1-2 business days after the order is received..

Each finished trivet is stamped, signed, editioned and dated by the artist on the bottom.
